Pantry Backsplash Tile – Fall 2020 ORC Week 5

It’s week 5 of the Fall One Room Challenge! Week 4 was a total bust for me (thanks to a DIY roman shade fail, womp-womp), so I’m thrilled to have a pantry update to share this week! The backsplash tile was installed this past weekend, and I’m so in love!

To jog your memory, I thought I had narrowed down my backsplash tile options to these three.

But I ended up choosing this beautiful grey marble. And I love it so much! You might also notice that I swapped out the white outlets for black ones, but I kept the brass plates. I love how the black blends in with the tile, and the brass complements the cabinet hardware.

I took the tile up around the window to the crown molding, and it makes such a lovely statement. And it really allows for the wine storage cabinet to be the star of the show in here.

This 6-week challenge is coming to an end next week, and I have just a few more design details to add to the space (like this gorgeous brass hardware!). I’m hoping to wrap this pantry project up by next Thursday, but it may take a few extra days. Fingers crossed for no more bumps in the road!
