Well, friends, I’ve been feeling a little lost as to what to tackle next design-wise in our home. While our new build is obviously not in need of any major changes, quite a few spaces could use some decorating love. Almost two years in, and I’ve still got paper shades on my bedroom windows. But that will hopefully be addressed soon……fingers crossed the curtain panels I ordered back in February will be ready in a few weeks. Anyhow, truth be told, I’ve been feeling a little zapped in the creativity department over the past couple of months. But after a trip home to California and spending time at my mom’s incredible home, I feel creatively refreshed! And I’ve decided to finally tackle my closet!

When we were in the planning phase of the building process, I requested large separate closets in lieu of a large main bedroom. And I have zero regrets. My closet also doubles as my office space which works so well for me!

But the current state of this space isn’t exactly working great for me right now. It’s a cluttered mess in need of some major organizing. And because it’s also my workspace, I think the chaos is part of the reason I’ve been feeling less than inspired creatively.

Sooooooo, I’ve come up with a plan to give the space some personality and make it feel more like a room than a storage space. And I’m so excited to bring it to life!

I think wallpapering the desk nook will help to visually set this area apart from the rest of the closet making it feel more like a workspace. And I’ve fallen in love with this gorgeous wallpaper and can’t wait to see it in person!
More updates coming soon!
