In a couple of months one of my kids will no longer be a teen. Crazy, right?! So, I’m curious, when do kids age out of Easter baskets? Honestly, I don’t see myself hanging up my Easter Bunny duties any time in the near future because filling an Easter basket and stuffing a Christmas stocking are two of my most treasured mom tasks. Call me crazy, but I live to round up a bunch of little gifts for my teenagers. I mean, does anyone ever age out of liking candy and gifts?!
In our house, we use the same Easter baskets every year, and these well-loved baskets are left out the night before Easter for the Bunny to fill while the kids are sleeping. But, if you give a new basket every year, I think this one is so cute!
For Teen Girls:
1. A new pair of sunnies is always a hit this time of year. These Gucci-look-a-likes are on sale right now, under $13!
2. I always love to include something useful that they can keep for a long time, so this monogrammed travel jewelry case caught my eye. It comes in other colors besides pink.
3. My girl has been wanting to try a lash serum, and this one doubles as a lash primer!
4. These paint by number kits are so good and priced so affordably. I might get one for myself! (pink flowers, white flowers, butterflies)
5. I’m always a sucker for novelty socks.
6. Big fan of these tinted lip balms. They’re a little thicker than a traditional lip gloss, plus they’re great for chapped lips.
7. I’m digging all of the new lego sets lately. These roses would be so fun in a bud vase on her bedroom dresser.
For Teen Boys:
1. My son is never without sunglasses, but he doesn’t have a good place to keep them in his car. So, I thought this visor clip would be a good basket stuffer.
2. If you have a teenage son, you know this keychain is perfection. 😉
3. Boys like crafts too! And this ocean waves paint by number set makes for great, inexpensive art for a dorm room or apartment.
4. This wet or dry electric razor has great reviews!
5. Swim trunks are always a hit. You won’t believe the price for the quality of these trunks. The checkered pattern feels very Urban Outfitters and has a UPF 50! (yellow & comes in a bunch of other colors, checkered & comes in a few different patterns)
6. These Croc slides are great for the pool and beach.

Of course, I always include some Easter candy as well. But adding a few little gifts is always fun! Cliche I know, but time sure does fly when you’re raising babies. This is still, and likely will forever be, my favorite Easter picture of all time. Also, P.S., this was the last time I ever took my kids to see the Easter Bunny. Clearly, they were not fans. 😉
I have a 15 year old daughter so I understand the struggle! This year I ordered a chocolate peanut butter Easter Egg that one of the non profits made and sold in limited quanities. I bought some shirts from her boarding school (when not in uniform, they have to wear “reg wear” which means something that has the school name); nail polish; a couple of summer dresses from J. Crew; Little People Inspiring Women set; Taylor Swift puzzle and some other Taylor Swift items.
