Ever wish you could “try on” a rug the way you try on a pair of shoes? That’s exactly what I did in our main bedroom thanks to the “view in your room” feature on Revival’s website. (#affiliate)

I’ve had this old cowhide layered over a seagrass rug for years. While I still like this look, I want to play a little game of musical rugs, and I’d like to move these up to my daughter’s room. Which makes room for me to bring in something vintage that feels collected, warm, and cozy.

But if you’ve ever shopped for large-scale vintage rugs, you know it can be tricky to picture how the pattern or colors will actually look in your space. While I appreciate that there are some local design shops that will allow you to bring rugs home on a trial basis before you buy, it can be tough lugging large rugs back and forth. So, I’ve come to REALLY appreciate Revival’s “view in your room” online tool.

I used that tool to help me choose the vintage rug I have in our main bathroom.

And with this simple tool, I was easily able to upload a picture of our bedroom and try on a few different rugs with absolutely zero heavy-lifting or furniture rearranging. Just a simple click of a button on my phone while binge-watching season 2 of My Life With the Walter Boys. 😉
Option 1:
First of all, isn’t it crazy how their online tool puts the rug under the furniture?! I am amazed! Moving on, this option is…..
Soft, subtle, and muted, this feels inviting and does not overpower the space.

Option 2:
Bold, warm, and classic, I will always love a Greek key.

Option 3:
Traditional with richly saturated colors, this one would likely have me repainting the walls.

Option 4:
Warm, classic, and the fact that it could work in a few different rooms in my home would not be a bad thing.

Option 5:
I think if I wanted to change up the bedding this could be really great. It’s a statement maker for sure.

I haven’t made up my mind. But with Revival currently running a Labor Day sale through September 7th offering up to 25% off, it feels like the right time to make this musical rug move! So…..which option do you like best? Help me decide!
