New Vintage Rug in the Main Bathroom & a Discount Code For You!

With black cabinets, white Corian countertops, and white marble porcelain tile floors, our main bathroom felt a little cold. As much as I LOVE a good black and white mix, the key to keeping it from feeling stark is adding in some warmer tones. Enter this incredible vintage rug from Revival! And boom, game changer!

The addition of this gorgeous area rug warms the space up so perfectly! It not only helps to balance the cooler tones, but it also adds some much-needed texture and pattern. It’s soft underfoot. And it’s a flat-out stunner!

Shopping for rugs online can be kind of tough, but if you want something unique (and specifically vintage) in-person shopping can be just as difficult. Because when it comes to rugs, sometimes you just need to see it in your space to know that it’s going to work. This is why I fell in love with Revival’s website! They have a virtual tool that allows you to upload a photo of your space and “try on” rugs. It’s amazing!!! You can even reposition the rug in your space, virtually!

This tool makes the buying process so much easier, and it makes you feel so much more confident in your selection!

I uploaded a picture of our bathroom and virtually tried a bunch of different rugs. And, in the end, the simple pattern and warm tones in this vintage Turkish rug completely stole my heart!

This rug has really changed the whole vibe in here. And has inspired me to want to finish styling our bathroom.

I have plans to add a counter-to-crown tile backsplash on the vanity wall, but that will likely not happen for a few more months (hello spring 2021 project!). However, I’m definitely going to be adding some long velvet curtain panels to the window above the claw foot tub, and a decorative roman shade to the window between the mirrors. Adding in even more texture will really bring home that cozy, luxe vibe I’m going for in this space!

But I’m so glad I chose the rug first! I always feel like starting with the rug makes all the other design decisions flow so much more easily!

  • I love this rug and all of the decor in your bathroom! I rarely see black bathroom cabinets, but they look so stunning in your space. I’ll have to look into purchasing a rug from Revival Rugs. I bought an oriental rug from a local store about a year ago, and it looks great but gets dirty incredibly fast. I’ve already had it cleaned by a rug cleaner twice. I wish I would have done more research and went with a pricier, but more durable rug!

  • Your bathroom is stunning. Question, when you lived in KY, what were your favorite thrift shops? Recently moved to the Lexington area. Thanks

  • Love your bathroom. My bathroom has the same marble throughout even into the shower with a white vanity. I am struggling on ways to warm it up. I’m always leaning towards grays an it’s such a mistake..their is so much greige in the marble I should have no problem . any suggestions

  • Hi Brenda! I love Street Scene because it’s a good mix of clothes, accessories and larger pieces. And they always do such a great job of styling the store, so it’s a fun shop to stop in even just to browse around. Also loved Feather Your Nest and Scout!

  • Thanks Sarah! I love black cabinetry! I actually considered black for our kitchen too, but ultimately chose white and blue for the kitchen. Revival is awesome! The quality is great!
