simple and sweet advent calendar

Hey friends!  I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family and friends.  We had a great day filled with lots of yummy food and family time.  My girl and I even had a little time to get our craft on.

Ummmmm, how cute is her fleece UK nightgown that her Granny made for her?  #gocats
She used a circle punch and number stickers.

Then I wrote surprise activities on the backs.

Like I said  – simple.
Then we used our circle punches and some washi tape to decorate our little chalkboard Charlie Brown tree.

This little nook in our breakfast room puts a smile on my face.  And now we’re ready to start the great countdown!  My kids are so excited.

  • Such a cute idea. Now that our girls are older, we do the 12 days of Christmas. Each of the 12 days leading up until Christmas they receive a small gift to open. I do this for my 95 year old MIL as well. It gives them something to look forward to each day during this time of year, for one-exam time, the other-stress because it is exam time for her students, and my mil, just a bright spot in her day.
