Today my baby girl turns 8 years old.
I will never forget the first time I held her in my arms. There are no words to fully describe the joy I felt in that moment.
Watching her grow has been one of the greatest blessings of my life, and the older I get the more I realize what an honor it is to be charged with the responsibility of raising her. Seeing myself through her eyes has changed me in many ways. She makes me want to be the very best version of myself. I have no doubt she has taught me more than I’ve taught her.
She’s taught me how to love fiercely.
She’s taught me that every day is a good day to be fancy.
She’s taught me to rock my age proudly!
She’s taught me to make smiling and laughing my favorite!
Today my family will celebrate the day our lives got a little sweeter and a lot sassier! We will celebrate our girl who is kind, passionate, hilarious, independent and bursting with personality! I still can’t believe she’s 8! While I look back at these old pictures with a little sadness at how fast these years have passed, I’m also grateful and excited for what’s in store.
She really is sunshine on a cloudy day! To know her is to love her, and it is my great pleasure to be her mother.

Awww, wishing her the happiest day! My little lady will be 7 next month, and like you I'm a bit sad at how quickly she's growing up. But I am amazed at the wonderful person she's becoming. You're obviously doing an amazing job! Hugs, Amy
