Hey friends and happy Saturday! The hubs and I snuck off for a quick weekend trip (without the kiddos!). It’s been so nice to have some uninterrupted time together. I’m really excited to tell you all about our trip. But for now let’s talk about this simple summer casual look I packed in my weekender bag.
I really dig chambray. I think it’s basically the perfect neutral for every season. I’m a little embarrassed to tell you all how many chambray shirts I own. #hoardermuch But I didn’t have a chambray skirt, SO I totally flipped over this one……… that has pockets! I also love me a comfy t-shirt…….especially one with special details that jazz it up just a little. Add in a fun straw tote and comfy flats, and I’m one happy summer weekending girl!
I am slightly obsessed with this straw tote. It’s the perfect size for a Saturday morning trip to the farmer’s market as it basically doubles as a shopping bag because it’s so large. It’s also great for a pool or beach bag, and I love that it has a little pocket inside so my phone and keys don’t get lost in the abyss of junk I carry around in my bag. Plus how fun is the tassel?! (and how great is the sale price?!)
I love me a fun heel or wedge, but whenever there is lots of walking to be done I opt for the comfort of a great flat. I’ve been wearing these new cute comfies a ton! They’re easy to slip on and walk around for hours, and they basically go with everything.

A weekend trip away with just my man is definitely a luxury I don’t take for granted. I get a little over excited about having some one on one time. It’s just so fun to go exploring and adventuring together!
I like packing easy to wear clothes for a weekend getaway. Comfy, casual and totally practical doesn’t have to be plain or boring. Thank goodness right?! This simple summer uniform is basically perfect for a day of walking the streets and perusing shops while holding your favorite guys hand.
