Pineapple Love

Hey friends!  Thanks so much for all the love on the powder bathroom makeover!  I’m so glad to have that project knocked off the list and can’t wait to share the reveal of the screened porch tomorrow as part of a blogger summer tour of homes.  Here’s a little preview.

pineapple print - outdoor bar cart

I really love this pineapple print I picked up at Hobby Lobby a couple of years ago.  I’m just slightly obsessed with pineapples.  I love them in home decor and fashion.

Graphic summer tee - pineapple dress

I bought this pineapple maxi dress last summer at Old Navy and wear it all the time.  I like to layer a t-shirt over it on cooler days.  So many of you asked for the source on the dress when I shared the above picture on instagram and were bummed to find out that it was from last season.  While this dress is no longer available, there are lots of great pineapple goodies out this year!

pineapple love - roundup

ice tray, bottle stopper, jar, wallpaper, glass, lampshade, print (the same one I have in my entry foyer)

The bottle stopper would make for a great hostess gift!  And wouldn’t pineapple ice cubes be so fun in all your summer drinks?!

I’m in love with this retro style pineapple print dress.  The bamboo belt loop is just too cute!

  • Have you read My American Dutchess by Eloisa James? A pineapple plays a HUGE role. And Eloisa used pineapples as part of her promo leading up to the book’s publication. She’s one of my favorite romance authors (and she’s also a Shakespeare professor 😉 I grew up in New England (live in NC now) and there were lots of pineapples in the colonial architecture – if I recall the stories correctly, when a sea captain would return from a voyage, a pineapple would be placed out on the fence post – symbol of hospitality eg: come visit me now 🙂

  • I haven’t read that but I’ll have to check it out! Thanks for the rec! I knew pineapples were a symbol of hospitality but didn’t had not heard the sea caption story before. Thanks for sharing!
