One Room Challenge – Teen Boy’s Room – Week 3

Well, it’s week 3 of the One Room Challenge already, and I actually feel pretty good about my progress this week!  Which probably means something bad is about to happen.  Ha!

Warm meets Cool

bed and rug

I finished painting the walls just in time for the arrival of the rug and bed.  While I was already happy I chose to go with the darker grey paint color (see last week’s post where I talked about the paint decision), once I saw the combination of the rug and bed against this cool grey wall color I was even happier with this color choice.  This warm meets cool color combination happening in here is so masculine and moody.  Perfect for a teen boy, no?

Now For the Details

It’s the halfway point in the challenge, so now it’s time to start working on the design details which is always my favorite part!

I’m still working on sourcing artwork to create a gallery wall above the sofa.  It’s been fun to work with my son on this and see what he’s drawn to.  I want the artwork to really speak to him and his personality.  So we’ll see what we come up with!  I have plans to take him thrifting with me this weekend.  🙂
