I love vintage handbags. I mean, not to be one of “those people”, but it really is true – they just don’t make things like they used to. 😉 And purses are truly a prime example. My vintage bags are absolutely oozing with quality craftsmanship and special detailing!

There was a shop I used to frequent when I lived in Lexington, Kentucky, called Street Scene, and they always had the best vintage fashion goodies! I could, and did, spend hours in that store with a cup of coffee in hand. This bag is one I snagged from that very shop years ago, and I love it just as much today as I did when I bought it!
I truly miss that store, but thanks to so many great Etsy shops I’m still able to get my vintage fix! Here are my 5 favorites, in no particular order, for vintage fashion goodies!
1. Red Poppy Vintage
This shop is full of the coolest vintage BOHO and ethnic goods, like this cool vintage moroccan leather belt…….
and this gorgeous vintage Mexican sisal handbag.
2. Copper And Tin
Not just fashion, this shop sells unique vintage curiosities from around the globe.
I pull inspiration just by looking at all the pretty things in this shop! The photography alone is just gorgeous!
3. Digsby
This shop is always filled with vintage goodness, like this special gem.
4. Louella Basil Vintage
In this shop you’ll find a variety of unique ladies vintage fashion finds.
5. Ms Tips Vintage
This one is filled with easy-to-wear everyday vintage pieces, and new items are added every weekday.

I usually focus on stalking vintage handbags, but this particular etsy shop always has really great jewelry as well, like this amazing bakelite bracelet!
Are you into vintage fashion accessories? I prefer handbags and jewelry to clothes, but I do love a good vintage coat. Vintage pieces in fashion do the same for interiors. They add in so much personality!
I can remember my grandmother having a very similar straw handbag. No, I am not into vintage accessories other than a piece or two of vintage jewelry. And you are right, they are very unique pieces. I have several pieces of my grandmother’s vintage (costume) jewelry and have long wanted to make one of those Christmas tree pictures. Have you ever seen them? Usually the backing is velvet and the pieces of jewelry are laid out to look like a Christmas tree. Rhinestones are especially pretty. Maybe some day I’ll make one!
