Screened Porch Refresh

I’m so excited to share our newly refreshed screened porch with you all today!  As I mentioned yesterday I partnered with At Home to bring in a few new pieces this year.  In addition, I used a lot of what we already had, shopped the house a little bit and busted out some spray paint to give our screened porch a totally new look.  And I’m so in love with our colorful, pattern-full screened porch space!

Most Dramatic Before and After

If we were giving out awards or this was an episode of The Bachelor, this outdoor sectional transformation would definitely earn the most dramatic transformation award.  You have to go here to see how it looked before.  I decided to spray paint the metal frame of this sectional white, so it would match the white metal rocking chairs.  And I love how this seating now looks like a set, yet still isn’t overly matchy-matchy.

These replacement cushions from At Home really upped this sectional’s game.  Between the paint and the replacement cushions it’s like we got a brand new outdoor sectional at a fraction of the cost!  And these cushions are just so gorgeous and comfortable!   The pinstripe fabric has the look of seersucker but feels soft like chenille.  I love it when materials that are made for outdoor usage feel more like interior fabrics.  It really makes your outdoor living spaces feel so much more cozy and inviting.

You can find the chambray colorway of these cushions online but check your local At Home store for this grey option.  My store had plenty of outdoor cushions to choose from, literally tons of different colors, styles and patterns!

Bringing the Indoors Out

Besides the sectional makeover the other major change in the space is the addition of this pedestal coffee table. Because this space is covered I decided to bring out the coffee table that was in our living room just to see how it would look, and I love it so much I’ve decided to keep it out here, at least for now.

As you might remember I was considering changing the porch floor color from brown to grey, but I ended up deicing to keep the floor color as is and just refinish the weathered stain.  Turns out once the stain was refinished and the floor was no longer faded and peeling I actually really liked the brown floor stain color (Sherwin Williams Hawthorne).  This color is a nice charcoal-y shade of brown and looks so great with this kilim rug.

 Bar Cart/ Potting Bench

This cart isn’t new, but I did give it a little revamp with a few new fun accessories like this beautiful, vintage style lamp!

I’m so in love with this pretty lady planter!  Isn’t she just so sweet?!

  • Great changes, white makes a space feel open and cool. All in all it makes your porch look much bigger.

  • It turned out great! Love that rug 🙂 Did you end up using the outdoor coffee table in your living room, or…?

  • Where did you find that great bowl with the succulents in it? Porch looks great!

  • Thanks Tracy! What we had out here before was a gas fire table, but the starter went bad. And because we added a firepit (a diy) to our backyard we realized we never really used the fire table any more so we just let it go. My living room is currently coffee table free……on the hunt for something!
