Hey friends and happy Thursday! It’s reveal day for the Choose Your Own Adventure Refresh, and I’m excited to share my master bathroom makeover with you all today.
As many of you know we’ll be putting our home up for sale in the next few months as we’re currently building our forever home. So my goal for this bathroom makeover was to freshen the space to make it more attractive to potential buyers.
Before
To jog your memory, here’s a look at the before (pictures from the real estate listing of the house when we bought it). I’m a little embarrassed to admit that in three years time I never got around to doing much of anything in our master bathroom. While it wasn’t awful, it was pretty boring and basic.
After
It’s amazing what a fresh coat of paint (Sherwin Williams Shoji White), a bold piece of art and new lighting can do for a space!
I just love this view from our master bedroom now!
These gorgeous semi-flushmounts from Hudson Valley Lighting made a world of difference in here. I love them so much I kind of wish I could pack them and take them with me when we move. 😉 I hope the new homeowners love them as much as I do!
His & Hers Vanities
Sometimes the little changes make the biggest impact, and that’s definitely the case with the new cabinet hardware.
The previous hardware had a satin nickel finish that matched the faucets, but all the matching muted metal was a little lackluster. The polished nickel hardware adds the perfect amount of shine to the space and matches the new light fixtures.
The artwork from Minted really ties the whole space together. It was the inspiration for the design and marries the wall and tile color together well.

I’m so glad I decided to tackle this space as part of this decorating challenge! My only regret is that I didn’t give our master bathroom a refresh when we moved in three years ago. But at least I’ll be able to enjoy it for a few more months!
