Am I the only one that feels like I’m spending 15 hours a day in the kitchen right now? I’m not complaining. I’m just saying. Like, wow. I’m pretty sure I’ve made more meals at home during the past 7 weeks than I have in 20 years of marriage. Ha! I’m not sure my kitchen skills are getting any better. I absolutely love when form meets function, especially in a kitchen. I think using beautiful kitchen accessories makes the process of preparing multiple meals a day feel a little more like a luxury than a chore.
And I’ve always enjoyed mixing vintage pieces in with new and finding creative ways to repurpose beautiful things. Empty wine bottles work well for olive oil, and vintage ice buckets are perfect for corralling kitchen utensils.
I also love mixing in warm wood pieces, like this glass canister with a reclaimed wood top, in a modern, classic kitchen. The pops of rustic wood paired with the sleekness of the polished quartz countertops makes me all kinds of happy.
These vintage brass spoons had me at hello. And they are the perfect size for scooping spices!
