Have you started decorating for Christmas? Around here, the only space that is currently decked for the holidays is our screen porch. I love setting up a tree out here! My decor for this Christmas tree was inspired by the coastal Carolina nature that surrounds us.
If you love checking out how different people decorate their Christmas trees as much as I do, you’re in for a treat today! I’m joining a few of my favorite design blogging friends to bring you a fun Christmas tree tour! Thanks to Stephanie from Casa Watkins Living for organizing this festive blog hop! I can’t wait to check out everyone’s trees!
I used to be a firm “decorate for Christmas after Thanksgiving” kind of girl, but I’ve softened in this area over the past few years. And in 2020 I feel like I could use all the twinkle lights! But it’s not Thanksgiving yet, so I still have pumpkins on my table. Merry Thanksmas or something. 😉
Simple Decor Elements
I wanted to keep this tree pretty bare. I actually really love a naked tree, especially in an outdoor space. But I couldn’t help but draw inspiration from the landscape around us. And magnolia leaves are my favorite! Don’t these faux leaves look so real?! They’re floral picks from the craft store.
In keeping with the simple nature-inspired theme, I decided to trim my monstera plant and tuck in a few fronds. I always love adding a fresh element to an artificial tree. And you can’t beat free decor! 😉 Bonus, the natural stuff doesn’t have to be stored away at the end of the season!
Next, I added some pinecone ornaments and called her done!
This simple look feels so fresh to me! And I hope the monstera leaves stay green for a while, but I can always trim a few more to add if needed.
This coastal Carolina, nature-inspired Christmas tree is definitely making this outdoor dining space feel festive, but to be honest, the natural wood nativity scene over the screen door really has my heart! I just love how sweet it looks in this spot!
