I shared this small project on Instagram the other day, and so many of you loved this easy art framing idea that I thought I’d share it here on the blog as well. This quick framing project takes all of 5 minutes, and it’s such a nice way to give small art pieces a little more presence!
I’ve had these 5 x 7 Carrie Davis paintings for almost two years now. I love them so much!

I had them here on the bookshelves in our living room, but I always felt like they got a little lost mixed in with everything else on display. They’re so gorgeous, truly two of my favorite pieces, and I wanted to give them a spotlight. These divas deserved a stage of their own. 😉

So I grabbed a couple of 16 x 20 inch artist panels from the craft store and some black acrylic paint, painted a simple brushstroke backdrop and glued the paintings on top. Then I framed them in simple black frames.

This could not have been easier, and I’m so in love with the result!

They feel so much more special now having a spot of their own on this wall in our living room. With nothing around to compete with them, they stand out so much more.

Simple, easy projects are my love language. 😉

GReat idea! love the look.
