Over the holiday break, I posted a question box on Instagram, and someone asked me to share my favorite design books. As much as I love all of the design inspiration readily available via social media these days, nothing compares to pouring over every little detail while flipping through the pages of a really great design book!
The Big Book of Chic – This is a big, thick book full of amazingness from the ever-so-talented Miles Redd. If you’re a color-and-pattern-loving design enthusiast, this book is for you! It’s an investment but oh so worth it!
Ralph Lauren – In His Own Fashion – This is a fun one for anyone who adores Ralph Lauren. It’s sort of an illustrated biography with details about his life and career, lots of fashion, and his classic interiors.
Homes For Our Time – This book is smaller in size than your typical coffee table book, so it’s great for smaller tables and side tables. It gives you a really cool look at contemporary homes around the globe.
Novel Interiors – Where literature and interior design collide, this is a design book you’ll want to read cover to cover. If you’re a bookworm who also loves interiors, you need this book! I flip through it every 6 months or so, and I’ve owned it since 2014. It’s also a really great book for anyone who is still finding their personal style.
American Fashion Designers At Home – This is a fun look at the homes of some of the greatest fashion creatives, like Tory Burch, Max Azria, Oscar De La Renta, and Carolina Herrera, to name a few.
A Tale of Interiors – Another really great one for pattern lovers!
Black + White – These pages are filled to the brim with gorgeous interiors showcasing the most timeless scheme.
Architectural Digest at 100: A Century of Style – Architectural Digest is one of my favorite design magazines. This book is big and thick, celebrating the absolute best from the magazine’s last 100 years. This is an heirloom-quality book!
