Spring is really doing it’s thing here in the Lowcountry. Literally, everything is covered in a thick blanket of pollen. And while I’m very excited to start sprucing up my outdoor spaces, I also like to breathe some fresh air into my interiors as well. I’m always amazed at how much of an impact simple, little changes can make in a room. One of my go-to moves this time of year is to swap out my throw blankets for scarves (or pashminas).

This chair in my bedroom is where I start my morning, and in the fall and winter I keep a throw blanket thrown over the back of the chair. When spring rolls in I like playing with my stash of scarves. It creates a lighter, less bulky look for spring, and gives me an opportunity to bring in more color and pattern which I’m always in favor of!
This plaid felt fun…

…but I think I prefer this pop of orange! Which do you prefer?

Fashion that doubles as home decor is a win in my book, and I will always love me a low-commitment design change!

How do you like to usher in seasonal changes in your home? What signals that feeling of spring and summer for you?
I love how the orange scarf makes the colors in your pictures pop!
