Matchbooks or Lips? Help Me Decide!

To the surprise of no one, I’m struggling to make a design decision. (Can any other enneagram nines relate?) But seriously, how does one pick between these two wallpaper prints?! They would both be so fun for my next project. Please, help me decide!

This matchbook print is just all kinds of sweetness. I dig the colors, the whimsical vibe, and the personal connection in that I love to collect matchbooks from any and everywhere I go!

But I’ve long loved this lips print and have been on the hunt for a space to use it in for years. However, and this could very likely be to due to my “how hard can it be” syndrome, but I actually think I could diy this. Am I delulu?! Maybe….but if I decide to go with this print, I’m going to attempt my hand at a painted version first….because why not, right?

But anyhow, first let me show the space I’m going to be working on next. Remember this closet I turned into a mudroom?

It used to be a study room, and I went to town with some Frogtape to make it feel fun.

These circus-esque stripes were really something for a time….

But when I converted the space from a study space to a mudroom, I opted for a fresh coat of blue (Hurricane Blue from the Historic Duron Collection for Sherwin Williams).

And this closet mudroom is fine as is, but I’m itching to give it a little more personality as this little space has become such a workhorse for us. I’m in and out of this closet all day. This cabinet houses beach towels, bug spray and sunscreen, as well the dogs medicine and extra paper goods. The leashes are kept in here, and the mail gets popped in that acrylic pocket on the door. And well, I’d just like for this tiny workhorse to look a bit more like a show pony. 😉

And as much as I like this cabinet, I’m hoping to find a vintage secretary desk to replace it because I’d like to have a little surface area to set things down as well as a to place to set up a lamp situation. So, this is my design plan……and if I could just nail down the wall pattern, I could get started!

Can’t wait to get this cutie, little, vintage rug in here that I found at Revival! (Did you know you get an exclusive 15% off discount when you shop my Revival Rugs storefront?)

Okay, so, lips?

Or matchbooks?
