Stylish, Affordable Flush Mounts & Semi-flushmounts

While I still have light fixtures on the brain I thought I’d share a little round-up of my favorite affordable flush mount and semi-flushmount light fixtures.  I’ve come across so many stylish options while sourcing lights for the new house.   These 8 are some of my favorites under $75!  And most of these are under $50!

I went with this classic from Rejuvenation for our pantry, and this simple, slightly industrial semi-flusmount for the powder room (that will compliment the sconce).  But I’ve yet to purchase anything for the closets or the laundry room.

For the laundry room I need two fixtures, and I’ve narrowed it down to either these guys, which are just $34.79 right now!

Option number 2 for the laundry are these red cuties.  Which would provide more light as they take 2 bulbs.

The tile floors in the laundry will be a black and white checkerboard……so I feel like the red might be a little too kitschy.  Although, y’all know how much I love red.  What are your thoughts?  Do you have a favorite between the two?

For the closets, I thought for sure long before I even started selecting light fixtures that I would outfit them all with these ceiling fixtures in white because I’ve always loved them.  But now I feel that this style doesn’t feel quite fit with the lighting plan.  Even though we’re just talking about closets I still feel like the fixtures need to at least flow stylistically.  Plus I feel like this metal shade might block/direct the light output a little too much to be useful even in a small closet.  So it’s back to the drawing board for closet fixtures.  I do wish these would have worked out because I love how the white blends against a white ceiling.

This guy was a contender until I realized he only takes a max 40w bulb.  Doubtful that would be enough light even in a small closet.  Although you can get this fixture with a clear glass globe, I still don’t think that would give off enough light.

Sooo I’m still undecided on ceiling lights for the extra closets.

However I’m pretty sure this is what I’m going to do for the hubs closet. Though I probably won’t use Edison bulbs.  While I didn’t include it in my round-up of fixtures under $75, it’s just $81.60, which seems like such a great price for the size.

He’s always complaining that his current closet doesn’t have enough light, so I feel like this would really solve that problem…….he may end up complaining that it’s too bright.  😉

Would love to hear your thoughts on flush mounts and semi-flushmounts.  I always struggle to spend what I consider to be too much for fixtures that are going in spaces like laundry rooms, hallways, closets……but even if those aren’t living spaces, they are spaces we live in, ya know?  And every space should rise up to greet us right?  Thankfully, there are so many affordable, stylish options out there now, so you don’t have to spend a fortune to get something that suits your style.

Linking all of the above down here, and throwing in a few others too!
