I think it will be super dark. I’ve had plantation shutters in a couple of houses (white ones) and they really block a lot of light. There are some newer style plantation shutters that have significantly wider slats and they let in a ton more light. So, if you go with shutters, definitely do the wide slats. We have used the cellular shades in our new house and in our mountain house. While I never would’ve thought I’d like those, I love them. During the day, when they are up, they disappear and we get our beautiful views and all the light coming in (gimme all the light!!!). We close them at night for privacy. You can even get top down ones so you only have to cover part of the window when you need privacy. Go into a window treatment store; there are some really cool products out there now!
