Hey friends. How are you? I’m hanging in there, and I hope you are too. I’ve been clocking a lot of time in my living room as of late. Reading and netflixing (Tiger King – yikes!), and I realized that I haven’t shared an update on my living room in a while. I think the last I mentioned it here on the blog was when I was debating which console table to bring in to the space. And the new table has been here for almost a month now, so here’s a little progress tour!

I ended up choosing something entirely different than what I was originally leaning toward. And I’m so happy with the console table I ended up purchasing! I love the way the wood talks to the wood mantle. The light wood blends nicely with the back of the sofa, so visually, the console doesn’t take up too much space. Plus the table edge is thick enough to discreetly hide the lamp cord! And the clean lines feel modern, but the light wood keeps it casual and warm. So all in all, I’m really happy with my choice. And now I’m on the hunt for some baskets to place underneath.

I also took advantage of a Ballard Designs sale about 8 weeks ago and ordered a couple of stools that have been on my love list for well over a year.

They’re from the Miles Redd (one of my all time favorite designers) Collection, and I’ve been obsessed ever since I first spotted them in the Ballard catalog. You can customize them, and there are tons of fabric options. I selected this white leopard velvet for a nice solid with good texture, and I can’t love them more!

I mean, those feet are everything!

The subtle pattern keeps them interesting without competing with the other patterns in the space.
And I love their traditional feel mixed with all the modern elements in this space!
So now, the main thing left to do in my living room is to address this big, blank wall. And with extra time on my hands staying at home right now, I’m feeling a DIY art project! I’ve always loved a good high-low mix and incorporating handmade, meaningful items in my spaces. So……..

stay tuned! I’ll be sharing more about my DIY art plans over on Instagram stories this week!
Stay healthy friends!
Love it and your style.
