A Beautiful New TV – The Samsung Frame

This year there won’t be anything for me under the tree on Christmas morning.  Nope, it’s not because I’m on the naughty list, it’s because Santa delivered my present early ~ a beautiful new tv!

The Frame TV by Samsung

I’m not usually one to care much about electronics.  I’ve never before cared what brand of television we have.  UHD or HDR, I don’t speak TV.  But when I found out that Samsung created a tv that looks like a piece of art when you’re not binge watching Stranger Things I was immediately intrigued.

A television that merges form and function, one that offers a gallery of beautiful art to choose from, and makes mounting your television over the mantel a little easier to take from a design standpoint?  Yes please!

A sweet reader who commented on my post about televisions over the mantel clued me in to this tv!  (Thanks Meghan!)

Technically this tv is “my present” because I’m the one who put it on my wish list, but my husband is enjoying it just as much, maybe more.  He’s happy because it’s a little larger than the tv we had in here.  And he also says this tv has a better picture.

1, 2, or 3?

I’m still trying to decide which piece of art I like best.  It’s really nice to have so many options!  These three that I’ve featured, in no particular order, are tops on my list.  Is there one you like best?

One other thing I really love about this tv is that it fits pretty much completely flush against the wall.  Which is just another reason why it tricks you into thinking it’s a framed piece of art when you’re not watching television.  Honestly, I think this tv is one of the best new inventions!  I’m super impressed!

  • Yay! You are so welcome for the suggestion! And I agree… it MUST have been designed by a woman! 😉 It looks so great in your space! Love how festive #1 feels and how calm #3 feels. And the best part is you can switch it up whenever you want! I’m hoping Santa will be delivering mine soon too. What a brilliant idea!

  • Looks great! I have a question: does the art look like actual art or does it look like a TV screen, like does it glow? It must use power when it’s “off,” correct? My husband mentioned wanting one and we weren’t sure about those things. If you can weigh in, that would be great.

  • Darn! Now I may have to get this tv for my bedroom. I like #3 because it looks like the Lowcountry:)

  • Carmel,

This TV looks wonderful! Just a question –what do you do with Xmas cards you receive. I notice they’re not on your mantel. Do you hang them in your house somewhere?
    Merry Christmas!

  • It’s about time they came up with something like that! I don’t wish to buy a television right now but that will definitely be on the list of considerations when the time comes. Yours looks great!

  • My husband was wanting something a little larger so when I found out about this tv I thought- perfect, now we can both get what we want! So happy to see companies making functional items beautiful!

  • It looks like a framed print. Certain art pieces – ones that have more white in the background- look more like a screen to me at certain times of the day – like at night, but other than that it really does read like a framed art print.
