Hello friends and happy Friday! It’s been quiet around here for the past week. After wrapping up my One Room Challenge project, I felt like my brain needed a creative break. So I’ve spent the week reading (can’t wait to share my book report with you very soon!), watching The Order on Netflix (witches and werewolves anyone?!) and perusing Pinterest for vegan and vegetarian recipes because I’m “experimenting” with going meatless (at least for a month). I blame Tabitha Brown. 😉 Anyhow, the point is, after I’ve squeezed all of my creative juice into a project, I always feel like I need to pause, relax and refill my cup, ya know?
But now……what’s next?
I’ve been trying to decided what my next decorating project will/should be. There are so many “undone” spaces in our new home. And I’m not in a rush to “finish” any of them. But a few spaces I’m currently considering……..
This blank space of a hallway could really use some love.

I’ve got some ideas swirling around in my mind for this little hallway. I love making a hallway feel special. Hallways so often get wasted or overlooked, but I see them as opportunities to have some serious design fun! And because they’re not whole rooms, they don’t typically require too much time, energy or much of an investment to decorate. So this little space is definitely a contender…….
But then, our bedroom is still in need of, well, at least something other than paper shades. 😉

So I think maybe I should I get in here and finish what I started. But what I really want to do in here is ……. a lot. I have visions of wallpapering the ceiling, creating a gallery wall opposite the bed, hanging velvet curtain panels…….the list is long, and after having just wrapped the office/guest bedroom project I’m not sure I want to dive into something so involved.
Now might be a goof time to address this art project that has been waiting in the wings for over a month. I mean, the green painter’s tape isn’t exactly doing the room any favors. 😉

But I’m still waiting for inspiration to strike. And I definitely don’t think art should be forced. So………..
I’m thinking my next project will be styling our screen porch!

We spend SO much time out here! And when I’m out here, I’m often looking around thinking about all the decorative elements I still want to add. Because this space really just needs a few finishing touches, this project feels very doable. So next week on the blog, I’ll be sharing my styling design plan for our screen porch! I have plans to build an outdoor console table, and hopefully I’ll be able to get started on that this weekend! Do you have any projects planned for the holiday weekend?
Love the living room ceiling light! Will you share source?
